Event Introduction

The congress is going to hold the first IBD Run in Asia which have 3.2K and 1.6K on June 16th. We would like to invite all delegates to participate the most meaningful activity. Kindly see the following detail information about the event!

Venue: Rainbow Riverside Park, Taipei City

Distance: About 3.2 km/ 1.6 km

Onsite Registration Counter Service Hours: Friday, June 14  11:00-18:00
                              Saturday, June 15  07:00-18:00

Souvenir: T-Shirt, Sport Towel, Runner Bib

Shuttle Service: Assemble at Taipei Marriott Hotel between 06:00-06:10. The shuttle will take off on 06:15.

Mileage: The blue line is about 1.6km in short-distance group, and the orange line is about 3.2km in long-distance group (30 minutes’ limitation time)

 From Marriott Hotel to the Event Venue (Rainbow Riverside Park) would be 10 minutes by car.
 The above itinerary is subject to change due to weather condition.


1. Health and safety problem

The runners should bring IC health insurance card and identification document of all time. Please be sure to check the health statement when you register. If you have had the following conditions and diseases, please consult your doctor for professional advice and do not force yourself to participate: unexplained chest discomfort (chest tightness, chest pain), unexplained difficulty breathing, unexplained dizziness, sudden loss of consciousness, high blood pressure (>140/90mmHG), heart disease, renal dysfunction, diabetes, hyperlipidemia (total cholesterol > 240mg/Dl), family history of heart disease (first-degree pro 60) Heart disease or sudden death before the age, epilepsy, etc.

During the event, the safety is the first priority. If the participant feels uncomfortable during the activity, please stop the activity immediately. The referee or physician of the organizer shall have the right to regard the physical condition of the runner and stop the runner from continuing to qualify for the event. The runner shall not have any objection and the offender or he/she will be disqualified. The organizer will insure the “Public Accident Liability Insurance” for the runners participating in the event. The insurance coverage is limited to the claims and the scope of the activities. If it is caused by personal physique (such as shock, high blood pressure, cardiovascular disease, heart disease, diabetes, epilepsy, the consequences of the cause), it is not within the scope of public accident liability insurance.

2. Insurance

Please consider your own situation on the day of running, and please do enough sleep on the day before the event. The congress will only do the necessary emergency medical rescue for the site. The organizer will insure the participants for the public accident insurance of NT$30,000 per person for the event, and the accidental damage caused by the organizer’s improper facilities or staff negligence will be settled. . The public accident insurance coverage is not covered by the illness caused by the disease itself (all details are subject to the insurance contract of the insurance company).

The insured shall be liable for compensation for the third human injury, death or property damage of a third person caused by the following accidents during the insurance period. When the claim is compensated, the insurance company shall be liable for the insured:

  • An accident caused by the insured or his employee as a result of running on the business office as stated in this policy.
  • An accident that occurs in the building, passage, machine or other work of the insured.

3. Exclusion of responsibility

  • Personal illness causes sports injuries.
  • Symptoms due to personal physique or cardiovascular disease, such as shock, heart disease, diabetes, heat exhaustion, heat stroke, mountain sickness, epilepsy, dehydration, etc.
  • If the illness caused by the disease is not covered by the insurance, participants may have unexplained chest discomfort (chest pain, chest tightness), unexplained dyspnea, family history of heart disease or the history of the disease described in the second item. Participants are advised to carefully consider their own safety and please personally cover personal accident insurance.
